Job description

We're partnered with a highly respected national AmLaw 100 law firm seeking experienced Real Estate Paralegals to join its growing Real Estate practice! Multiple opportunities are available across Kansas City, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, and St. Louis, with a particular hiring focus in Denver. These are fully on-site positions offering the opportunity to support sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development projects.

This role is ideal for a seasoned real estate paralegal with extensive experience in title, survey, and zoning (T/S/Z) review, particularly someone who can independently analyze title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports and prepare detailed objection letters for attorney review. You'll work closely with attorneys, clients, title companies, and other transaction parties to manage due diligence, resolve title and survey issues, prepare transactional documents, and coordinate complex real estate closings from start to finish.

REWARDS
  • $80,000–$115,000 annual base salary, with potential flexibility for exceptionally qualified candidates
  • Opportunity to join a nationally recognized AmLaw 100 law firm
  • Multiple openings across major U.S. markets, with a particular hiring focus in Denver
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Parking/Transit reimbursement depending on location
  • Professional development and long-term career growth opportunities
  • Exposure to sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and complex, high-value deals
Requirements
  • 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience, preferably supporting sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within a law firm
  • Extensive hands-on experience independently reviewing title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and underlying documents
  • Demonstrated ability to draft title and survey objection letters independently for attorney review, rather than solely assisting with isolated portions of the review process
  • Experience identifying and resolving title exceptions, survey discrepancies, zoning issues, and other due diligence concerns
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and related closing procedures
  • Experience preparing and reviewing real estate closing documents, deeds, easements, purchase agreements, leases, and other transactional materials
  • Familiarity with UCC financing statements, lien searches, entity formation documents, and real estate recording requirements
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to independently manage multiple complex transactions and competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity with iManage, Intapp, Kofax, Orbital, or similar legal technology platforms preferred
  • Paralegal certificate or related degree preferred; ability to work fully on-site and meet a 1,600-hour annual billable requirement
Responsibilities
  • Independently conduct comprehensive title, survey, and zoning due diligence for commercial real estate transactions, including reviewing title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and supporting documentation
  • Draft detailed title and survey objection letters for attorney review, identify potential transaction issues, and coordinate resolution of title, survey, and zoning concerns
  • Work directly with title companies, surveyors, attorneys, and other transaction parties to resolve objections, finalize title pro formas, and ensure surveys and related documents satisfy transaction requirements
  • Support commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and debt and equity transactions from initial due diligence through closing
  • Prepare, review, and organize closing documents, including deeds, easements, leases, purchase agreements, signature packages, and other real property instruments
  • Coordinate transaction closings by maintaining closing checklists, managing document delivery, tracking outstanding items, and overseeing applicable recording requirements
  • Prepare closing binders and post-closing documentation while ensuring transaction records are complete, accurate, and properly organized
  • Draft and file UCC financing statements, order and evaluate lien and litigation searches, and assist with entity formation and related filings
  • Communicate with clients, attorneys, lenders, title companies, and other outside parties to provide transaction updates, resolve outstanding issues, and support timely closings
  • Manage multiple complex assignments, conduct legal and factual research, maintain accurate time records, and proactively identify solutions to support attorneys and clients
