Larson Maddox in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support a growing legal and development team focused on commercial real estate transactions.

You will work closely with attorneys, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and other stakeholders, conducting title and survey reviews, drafting objection correspondence, and tracking deadlines throughout acquisitions and development projects.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved or accredited program preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience supporting commercial real estate transactions, title review, development projects, or real estate law matters.
  • Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, easements, restrictive covenants, and other real estate due diligence materials.
  • Familiarity with title insurance policies, endorsements, and closing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and elevate legal and business risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reviews of title commitments, surveys, plats, easements, restrictive covenants, deeds, liens, and other property-related records to identify potential issues affecting real estate transactions.
  • Analyze title and survey materials and prepare concise summaries highlighting risks, defects, and items requiring legal review or resolution.
  • Draft and coordinate title and survey objection correspondence, while assisting with responses and issue resolution throughout the due diligence process.
  • Monitor transaction timelines, diligence periods, and critical contractual deadlines to support timely execution of real estate projects.
  • Research land records, zoning and development regulations, municipal ordinances, and applicable real estate laws that may impact acquisitions and development activities.
  • Review survey deliverables and related documentation to confirm compliance with lender, title insurance, and ownership requirements.
  • Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate transaction progress and resolve outstanding matters.
  • Partner with attorneys and cross-functional teams on real estate acquisitions, development projects, financing transactions, and other property-related legal matters.
  • Maintain organized transaction files and legal records while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail across all work products.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment

An established real estate developer is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support a growing legal and development team focused on commercial real estate transactions. This role will work closely with attorneys, development professionals, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of real estate acquisitions and development projects.
