Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union in Katy, TX is seeking a detail‑oriented Real Estate Loan Specialist to maintain real estate loan files and assist with loan applications. You will process loan requests, coordinate closings, and work with attorneys and title companies to ensure timely disbursements.

The role requires at least one year of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and you must be a Notary Public.

Qualifications

• Notary Public required.
• Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
• Proficient problem solving and critical thinking.
• On-site work at Katy, TX location.
• Strong courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in member communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Review real estate loan application files to verify data accuracy.
• Contact third-party providers for supporting documents to complete files.

Job Details: Job Location: Katy Administration Office - Katy, TX 77494, Role:

Responsible for maintenance of real estate loan files. Assists with real estate loan applications, processes loan requests and makes loan disbursements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reviews real estate loan application files to verify application data is accurate.
• Contacts third-party providers for supporting documents to complete file.
• Manages loan applications and files to ensure required dates are met.
• Prepares file for closing, submits to attorney and coordinates closing with title company or branch office.
• Verifies prior day activities are accurate.
• Maintains communication with members and third-party providers on loan status.
• Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): BSA reporting requirements, OFAC, USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc.
• Other job duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Minimum one year similar or related real estate experience.
• A high school education or GED required.
• Serve as a Notary Public.
• Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
• Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work regular full time hours.
• Ability to work on-site at designated location.
• Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Must be bondable

Ergonomic Considerations:

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
• Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
• Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
• Ability to operate office machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
