Job summary

Confidential Employer in California seeks an experienced attorney to join a litigation boutique specializing in real estate, landlord-tenant, evictions, and related disputes. Manage matters from inception to resolution with pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and trial prep.

Work directly with clients and coordinate with staff to deliver strong outcomes. The ideal candidate has a California Bar license, 4+ years in real estate litigation, and strong writing and courtroom skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Real estate litigation, landlord-tenant, eviction, collections, or property dispute experience strongly preferred.
• Strong motion drafting, pleading, court appearance, deposition, and litigation case management skills.
• Trial preparation or trial experience preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Agoura Hills and travel to courts as needed.
• Strong writing, communication, organization, and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, conferences, and related litigation proceedings.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, manage case strategy, and support trial work.
• Handle landlord-tenant, eviction, collections, real estate litigation, and business dispute matters.
• Work directly with clients to provide practical legal advice, case updates, and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently and deliver strong client outcomes.
• Analyze facts, documents, leases, contracts, title issues, and other litigation materials.

• Handle meaningful litigation work with direct court exposure, client contact, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Work on a wide variety of real estate and business disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, title claims, partnership disputes, distressed assets, construction defect, and related litigation.

Location
