We are seeking an experienced litigator to lead and expand affirmative litigation efforts on behalf of homeowners and mobile homeowners. This role is critical in asserting property rights, addressing mortgage servicing abuses, and pursuing strategic litigation aimed at preventing loss of homeownership through foreclosure, eviction, or replevin actions.

This position is ideal for a litigator passionate about using the law to defend housing rights and promote justice for individuals and families at risk of losing their homes.
Remote position with occasional in-person obligations for court or meetings.
Responsibilities
- Represent homeowners and mobile homeowners in affirmative litigation cases, including issues related to mortgage servicing abuses, defective home sales, and class action matters.
- Collaborate with housing advocacy teams to develop and pursue legal strategies aimed at protecting homeownership and combating unlawful practices.
- Establish and pursue case goals, coordinating with supervisors and team members.
- Participate in regular check-ins with supervisors and attend team-wide meetings.
- Track and report case progress and outcomes in alignment with organizational processes.
- Handle court appearances, hearings, and relevant legal proceedings as needed.
- Engage with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated and effective client service.
- Deliver educational presentations on homeowner rights to clients, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Complete case-related documentation and manage personal workflow efficiently.
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for admission to practice in Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
- At least 2 years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience, preferably in mortgage servicing or predatory lending.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in housing law, real estate, bankruptcy, lending, or related litigation.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and legal case management software (e.g., CLIO) is desirable.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus and may qualify for additional compensation.
