Job summary

MSGCU in Michigan is seeking a Real Estate Funder and Post-Closing Specialist to coordinate real estate funding for home equity, purchases, and refinances. You will balance transactions, review closing documents for compliance, and ensure timely funding while maintaining service excellence for our members.

In this role, you will board loans into servicing, disburse funds, process payoffs, HUD/FHA tasks, and resolve discrepancies with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year real estate funder/post-closer experience or 2 years real estate lending experience.
• FHA lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balances mortgage transactions and reviews closing documents for compliance.
• Boards loan into servicing system from Real Estate Origination system.
• Disburses and funds loans per disbursement date; prepares funding form.
• Processes payoffs, redirects insurance, and processes referral credits.
• Resolves disbursement discrepancies with multiple teams and title companies.
• Activates PMI certificates for new loans and pays upfront MIP.
• Handles HUD insurance applications and FHA-related binder processes.
• Reviews closing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Scans and uploads closing packages into the Real Estate Origination system.
• Completes wire transfers for upcoming loan fundings.
