Job summary

Berkshire Residential Investments is seeking an Originations and Underwriting Intern in New York for a 12-week summer program. You will support the deal team with financial modeling, maintain internal databases, and assist on cross-department projects.

You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to present to Berkshire's senior leadership, while learning the real estate investment business in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business or related field with anticipated graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
• Availability to work in person from June to mid-August (approx. 12 weeks) from 9:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to present findings to senior leadership.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills.
• Aptitude for learning in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to communicate and work with different departments at Berkshire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving internal database
• Support mentor on various ad hoc projects throughout the program
• Compile lessons learned for most recent deals across departments
• Support the deal team with financial modeling and writing deal memos
