Job summary

Coda Search is hiring a Senior Associate to own the accounting and reporting for multiple real estate private equity funds. You will turn results into clear analysis for leadership and help build reporting infrastructure for a growing platform.

Responsibilities include preparing fund financial statements under US GAAP, processing capital calls, calculating distributions, and coordinating audits. You will oversee external auditors and third-party fund administrators while guiding monthly closes

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in public accounting (real estate or asset management audit preferred) or related fund finance roles.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and private equity fund structures, including waterfalls, capital accounts, and LP reporting.
• Ability to turn financial results into concise presentations for senior leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements under US GAAP, including fair value reporting.
• Process capital calls and distributions, and maintain investor capital accounts and allocations.
• Calculate distribution waterfalls and carried interest.
• Produce quarterly investor capital statements and LP reporting packages.
• Run the annual audit and serve as the main contact for external auditors.
• Oversee third-party fund administrators and advisors, and review their deliverables.
• Drive the monthly and quarterly close in partnership with teams across the firm.
• Oversee fund tax compliance and regulatory filings so every deadline is met.
