Job summary

Oliver James is seeking a Fund Accountant to join a growing real estate asset management team in downtown Chicago. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, competitive compensation, and comprehensive health, PTO, and retirement benefits.

You will support monthly closes, analyze financial performance, and review statements for property managers and JV partners, while handling cash and audits. CPA optional but preferred, with 1–3 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA preferred (or willing to pursue).
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes.
• Calculate, interpret, and communicate financial performance returns.
• Complete monthly financial analysis and review property manager and joint venture partner statements.
• Handle cash management transactions and tracking.
• Support reporting requirements, year-end audit, and tax processes.
• Help improve financial reporting processes and client service.
• Identify problems and propose solutions.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
