Job summary

Prime Group in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to manage the preparation and review of financial statements for real estate entities. You will coordinate consolidated statements and ensure timely reporting to lenders and investors.

The role covers month-end close, loan covenant reporting, and coordination with external auditors. Strong US GAAP knowledge and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA is a plus
• Experience in finance, investment accounting, or real estate accounting
• Solid understanding of US GAAP financial reporting for real estate investments

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, review, and distribution of financial statements to senior management, investors, and lenders
• Assist in consolidated balance sheet, P&L, and cash flows for multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and construction entities
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Review loan agreements and covenants; prepare reports for lenders
• Assist real estate acquisition and loan due diligence processes
• Manage timely mortgage payments to lenders
• Oversee Investors’ equity, distributions, contributions, and capital calls
• Serve as liaison between lenders and investors for financial information
• Identify and explain evolving accounting guidance; prepare technical memos
• Communicate accounting issues to management
• Coordinate external audits and ensure auditor agreement on disclosures
• Oversee one outsourced accounting staff
• Create and maintain accounting policy documents and internal control reporting
• Assess close process efficiency and drive process improvements
• Participate in annual operating budget preparation
