Job summary

Genuine Search Group is partnering with a NYC real estate firm to add an Accountant to its team. The role focuses on accurate journal entries, month-end close, and robust financial reporting to support decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred), proficiency in Excel and Word, and a CPA track or progress toward CPA is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position in New York City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–2 years accounting experience, public accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end financial reports.
• Process invoices and payment requests accurately and timely.
• Track costs and budgets, identify variances and improvements.
• Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Partner with internal teams to streamline reporting and financial processes.
