Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a VP of Finance and Accounting to lead accounting across a complex multi-entity real estate platform, ensuring strong internal controls and timely close under US GAAP.

You will oversee GL, AR, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and tax compliance, partnering with senior leadership to drive performance and efficiency. Requires 5+ years at VP level and real estate industry experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of VP-level accounting experience.
• Strong GL, AR, fixed assets, payroll, intercompany, and tax knowledge.
• Real estate industry experience is required.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Debt, Equity, and intercompany accounting across multiple entities.
• Lead accounting staff growth and development, including training.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and banking activities.
• Analyze monthly results and provide strategic insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with operations and property teams on revenue accounting and procurement.
• Ensure accurate close and US GAAP financial statements; support tax processes.
• Assist with integration of new locations and accounting systems.
