Job summary

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP’s Real Estate Practice Group is seeking a highly motivated midlevel associate with a solid background in real estate finance and lender representation. The ideal candidate will have approximately three to five years of experience in commercial real estate lending transactions, with a strong foundation in drafting, document review and due diligence.

We are open to considering experienced candidates in any Kelley Drye office but have a strong preference for candidates

Qualifications

• Three to five years of substantive experience in real estate finance, preferably gained at a major law firm or institutional lender.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence reviews and manage multiple workstreams within a deal.
• Review opinion letters and third-party documents.
• Lead the preparation of closing checklists and coordination of closing logistics.
• Direct communication with clients and deal team members.
• Take ownership of significant portions of a transaction within a team setting.
• Familiarity with lender-side representation preferred.
