Job summary

Simpson Judge USA is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate in Miami to represent lenders and borrowers on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within a global AM100 firm. The role offers a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the office and exposure to cross-border, structured financing matters.

Requirements include 4+ years of CRE finance experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and Florida Bar admission or eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial real estate finance experience at a law firm.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience with construction lending, bridge, mezzanine, syndications or CMBS is highly desirable.
• Experience across commercial property sectors such as hospitality, multifamily, retail or residential.
• Florida Bar admission or eligibility to obtain it promptly.
• Strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers on commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents and related agreements.
• Handle due diligence across real estate, title, survey and financing matters.
• Work on acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine loans.
• Support syndicated lending and other complex financing transactions.
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel and other transaction parties.
• Assist with restructurings, workouts and distressed real estate matters.

Join a global AM100 law firm in its Miami office as a Real Estate Finance Associate, working within an established and growing team advising banks, debt funds, financial institutions, investment firms and borrowers on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

The Miami team is led by an experienced Real Estate Finance partner and forms part of a global real estate finance practice, giving associates exposure to complex domestic, cross-border and structured financing matters across a wide range of asset classes.

The work includes loan origination, purchase, sale, syndication and securitisation, alongside construction, permanent, bridge and mezzanine financing.

What You'll Do

• Represent lenders and borrowers on commercial real estate finance transactions
• Draft and negotiate loan documents and related agreements
