Job summary

Orionplacement in Florida is seeking an accomplished commercial real estate finance attorney to draft and negotiate sophisticated loan documents and advise CMBS lenders on complex, nationwide transactions.

The role requires 6+ years of CRE finance experience and Florida Bar admission or eligibility, with preference for major law firm background and Spanish language skills. Hybrid Miami office with remote flexibility offers senior-level responsibility and significant client exposure.

Qualifications

• Florida Bar admission or eligibility.
• 6+ years of commercial real estate finance experience.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated finance agreements and related transaction documents.
• Experience with modifications, consents, workouts, restructurings, or similar commercial loan matters.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• CMBS industry experience preferred.
• Major law firm experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial real estate finance transaction documents.
• Handle finance agreements, loan modifications, consents, assumptions, extensions, forbearances, workouts, and related documentation.
• Advise CMBS loan servicers, special servicers, and institutional lenders on performing and non-performing loans.
• Work on complex loan sales, asset dispositions, restructurings, and other debt-related transactions.
• Analyze loan documents, servicing issues, borrower requests, defaults, and workout strategies.
• Manage matters involving office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, self-storage, healthcare, and other commercial real estate assets.
• Coordinate with clients, borrowers, opposing counsel, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout complex transactions.
• Provide practical, strategic guidance on legal and business issues affecting commercial real estate loans nationwide.
