Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Property Accountant with a Master’s degree in Finance or Economics to join our financial team in Florida. This role focuses on real estate finance across development projects and operating assets, demanding high transactional experience and precise reporting.

Key tasks include preparing balance sheets, P&L, cash flows, and budgets, and coordinating with project managers and lenders on construction draws.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance or Economics from an accredited college/university.
• 3-5 years of experience in Real Estate Finance, including Development and Commercial Accounting.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• NetSuite experience required.
• QuickBooks, Yardi, and BlueCollar Software proficiency preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Financial Team, assist with all accounting practices, and advise on transactional details.
• Participate in calls with clients and deliver verbal reporting and analysis on a regular cadence.
• Create and maintain accurate and complete reports for clients, including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Trial Balance and General Ledger, Cash Flow Statements, and Budget vs. Actual reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Lenders to prepare, issue, and monitor Construction Draw Packages.
• Contribute to year-end 1099 filings, tax preparation, and audit preparation.
• Create and maintain SOPs for clients and suggest improvements.
• Maintain good relationships with clients and team members.
