Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement in Columbia, MD or Washington, DC is seeking a Project Manager, Real Estate Planning & Development to lead planning, design coordination, owner requirements management, and workstream execution for complex capital projects.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and operations to ensure deliverables meet owner requirements, track progress through programming to closeout, and manage documentation using PMIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, architecture, engineering, construction management, facilities planning, or related field.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in real estate development, capital project delivery, owner's representative services, design and construction management.
• Experience supporting complex facilities in technical, laboratory, research, higher education, healthcare, manufacturing contexts.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, specs, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project workstreams across planning, design, procurement, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage day-to-day coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and operations stakeholders to keep deliverables progressing on schedule.
• Support development, maintenance, and tracking of Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and resolve departures from owner requirements.
• Track design deliverables through programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documents with comment registers.
• Review design documents to identify coordination issues and potential impacts to scope, schedule, cost, or risk.
