Job summary

NorthPoint is seeking a Development Associate to support the internal project team from due diligence through development and construction coordination in Downers Grove, IL. You will work with engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors to evaluate opportunities, create budgets, and manage schedules, ensuring on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or real estate, or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Energetic, resourceful, hands-on with service orientation.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the internal project team with initial due diligence, market research, budget establishment, and investment offering preparation.
• Assist in creating, tracking, and managing development schedules including due diligence, entitlements, design, permitting, and land closing.
• Coordinate with consultants (civil, environmental, geotechnical, etc.) and manage bids from consultants and contractors.
• Organize bidding processes and ensure timely submittals and responses for permits and pre-construction activities.
• Facilitate progress meetings with project stakeholders and provide timely reporting.
• Track project financials, budgets, and monthly draw requests; maintain schedules and milestones.
