Job summary

Magellan Development Group is seeking a Development Analyst to support all aspects of development projects in Chicago. The role focuses on underwriting, market research, financing strategies, and asset management, with responsibilities spanning site acquisition, design, approvals, and exit strategies.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in real estate/PE/debt platforms, strong communication, and a Bachelor’s in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related field.
• 2+ years of real estate, private equity, investment sales, and/or debt platforms.
• Experience in real estate financial modeling for development/PE/debt.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite development opportunities and create market analyses.
• Create operating budgets, financial projections, and capitalization strategies.
• Manage government filings for incentives programs (TIFs, tax abatements, grants).
