Job summary

ABD Talent is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our growing real estate practice in Texas. The ideal candidate holds a J.D., is licensed in Texas, and has 3–5 years of hands-on real estate experience, including development, master planned communities, covenants, plats, and HOA matters.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas license to practice law required.
  • 3–5 years of substantive real estate law experience.
  • Direct experience with real estate development and master planned communities.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing complex documents with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate plats, development agreements, entitlement documents, and related real estate agreements.
  • Prepare, review, and amend restrictive covenants for various developments.
  • Draft and revise governing documents for master planned communities and HOA matters.
  • Advise nonprofits and property owners' associations, including formation documents.
  • Advise developers on legal matters throughout development projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on real estate development and property matters.
  • Communicate with clients, government entities, and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple matters and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Work independently while collaborating with attorneys and other professionals.
