Job summary

Reef Capital in Utah is seeking an Accountant, Real Estate Development to support full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of real estate projects. You will work closely with the Controller on GAAP reporting, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity consolidations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting and 2–4 years of real estate accounting experience, with strong attention to detail and effective communication across teams. This is a hybrid Lehi, Utah position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to real estate development/construction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting for real estate development entities and operating real estate investments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including intercompany eliminations.
• Support accounting for ASC 360 and ASC 842 real estate transactions.
• Perform month-end close tasks including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate year-end tax financial statements with external tax preparers.
• Manage intercompany and related-party billing and cost allocations.
• Process invoice payments and monitor cash positions across entities.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and data summaries for management.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and close processes.
