Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. seeks an Associate in BREDS Operations to support the financing and portfolio administration of roughly $78 billion in BREDS AUM, including BXMT and related structures.

You will partner with investment professionals, asset management, and external counsel to execute investment transactions, manage servicing/onboarding, and oversee treasury and currency considerations. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline; CFA and/or CPA is a plus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, transaction services, private equity funds, consulting, or other relevant real estate debt roles.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operations of approximately $78 billion in BREDS AUM and related transactions, including the firm’s publicly listed REIT BXMT, private fund structures, single managed accounts, business development company, and insurance vehicles.
• Partner with investment professionals, asset management, portfolio management, internal and external counsel, and BREDS Finance teams to execute investment transactions and financing strategies.
• Oversee aspects of servicing and onboarding performed by a dedicated portfolio company and offshore operations team.
• Execute investment funding activities with the BREDS asset management team, including treasury, debt financing, and foreign currency considerations.
• Help manage the operations of credit facilities across multiple BREDS vehicles, including processing future funding advances, repayments, compliance reporting, covenant monitoring, and fee calculations.
• Liaise with BREDS asset managers and the servicing and onboarding team through various loan lifecycle events, including modifications, extensions, workouts, and repayments.
• Review monthly and quarterly investment portfolio analytics and prepare reporting and insights for senior management.
