The Blackstone Group L.P. is seeking an Associate for BREDS Finance & Operations in New York.

This role supports the BREDS operations team, helping manage approximately $78 billion in assets and related financing activities for a range of vehicles, including BXMT and private funds. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in real estate debt-related roles, strong financial skills, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline; CFA/CPA is a plus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, transaction services, private equity funds, consulting, or other real estate debt roles.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong technology skills with a proactive and innovative mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operations of approximately $78 billion in BREDS AUM and related transactions.
• Partner with investment professionals, asset management, portfolio management, and legal teams to execute transactions.
• Oversee servicing and onboarding performed by a dedicated portfolio company and offshore operations team.
• Execute investment funding activities with the BREDS asset management team, including treasury and debt financing.
• Manage operations of credit facilities across multiple BREDS vehicles, including funding advances and covenant monitoring.
• Liaise with asset managers through loan lifecycle events such as modifications and extensions.
