Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Real Estate Credit Risk Associate within Commercial and Investment Bank Real Estate Credit Risk to provide independent credit risk assessment and support credit approvals for loans and lending-related commitments across multiple product areas.

You will cover real estate, lodging, gaming, homebuilding and services clients, develop forward-looking credit views, maintain risk ratings, and partner with bankers to monitor and grow the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
• 3+ years of professional experience in corporate or commercial credit, investment banking, or related financial services.
• Academic training in accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macroeconomics.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit analysis and support senior credit officer approval of lending and trading-related transactions.
• Prepare written credit approval documents including spreading and future cash flow projections.
• Develop forward-looking views of business, financial performance, and key risks for covered companies and sectors.
• Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives.
• Assign risk ratings and maintain updated credit research for portfolio clients.
• Support active management of the commercial real estate portfolio and related projects.
