Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Real Estate Credit Risk Associate within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Real Estate Credit Risk Team in Chicago. You will conduct independent risk assessments and credit approvals for loans and lending-related commitments to real estate, lodging, gaming, and related sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or similar.
• Minimum 3 years in corporate/commercial credit or related financial services.
• Strong accounting, finance and macroeconomics knowledge.
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Conduct credit analysis and facilitate senior credit officer approval of lending and trading related transactions.
• Create credit approval documents with financial statement spread, analysis and cash flow projections.
• Develop a forward-looking view of business, financials and risks for clients.
• Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures across industries.
• Negotiate, finalize and execute documentation for loans and derivatives.
• Review and assign risk ratings and maintain credit research on clients.
• Actively manage CRE portfolio and participate in surveillance projects.
