Job summary

Harrison Street is seeking an Associate for its Real Estate Credit Strategies team in New York. You will evaluate, underwrite, and execute credit investments across multifamily, student housing, senior housing, office, industrial, retail and hospitality sectors.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of real estate or investment banking experience, strong financial modeling in Excel (Argus preferred), and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach to closing complex transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field with a strong academic record.
2–3 years of experience in real estate or investment banking with underwriting and execution exposure.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including Excel; Argus preferred.
Understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, capital structures, and loan documents.

Responsibilities

Support origination and execution of new credit investments (senior loans, mezzanine loans, securities, and preferred equity).
Develop and maintain detailed financial cash flow models and sensitivity analyses.
Conduct market, sponsor, and asset-level due diligence; coordinate calls with brokers and participants.
Prepare and present in pipeline meetings and investment committees with key underwriting details.
