Job summary

Metis Search in Miami is seeking an Analyst or Associate to support the origination, underwriting and execution of real estate credit investments across the full transaction lifecycle.

You will work within a lean, entrepreneurial team, gaining exposure to live transactions and collaborating with senior investment professionals to develop a detailed understanding of real estate lending, transaction structuring and credit risk across multiple property types.

Qualifications

• Strong financial-modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Understanding of real estate cash flows, capital structures and investment fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and comfortable working within a lean, entrepreneurial team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Miami, with either an existing connection to the area or a clear commitment to relocating.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, underwriting and execution of real estate credit investments across the full transaction lifecycle.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including property-level cash-flow projections, debt sizing, returns analysis and downside scenarios.
• Assess property valuations, market dynamics, sponsorship strength and capital sources and uses.
• Prepare underwriting materials for senior investment professionals and the investment committee.
• Coordinate due diligence and assist in closing transactions.
