Job summary
Perry Homes seeks a dedicated Counsel to support the Director, Senior Counsel on real estate matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating land acquisition and development contracts, due diligence, and related transactional documents.
You will collaborate closely with multiple internal clients and departments to protect the company’s interests while promoting timely, compliant real estate initiatives.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Minimum 3 years of counsel experience
- Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate land-related contracts and development documents
- Identify and resolve project and business risks creatively
- Advise on legal risk and compliance for real estate initiatives
- Provide guidance on land acquisitions and land development
- Perform due diligence and prepare transactional documents for land deals
- Handle other land-related legal matters and document reviews
- Monitor developments affecting the Company's real estate activities
- Review contracts, notices, and disclosures for home sales
- Support regulatory agenda monitoring and implementation
- Complete assignments with short notice; other duties as assigned
