Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Controller – Real Estate for a Manufactured Housing and Land Lease Communities portfolio in Houston. You will oversee the accounting function, general ledger, and financial reporting with full ownership and autonomy across development, acquisitions, operations, and investment entities.

Requires CPA, 8+ years in real estate accounting (multifamily, homebuilding, manufactured housing, or land lease), and 3+ years leading teams.

Qualifications

• CPA is required to manage complex real estate accounting.
• 8+ years of real estate accounting experience.
• 3+ years of accounting leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, and investor distributions.
• Review JV agreements, loan documents, and funding requests.
• Handle lender/investor reporting, debt modifications, and capitalized interest accounting.
• Maintain internal controls and supervise accounting staff.
