Job summary

Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union is seeking a Real Estate Closing Coordinator to support members’ loan applications by processing loans, making lending decisions, and coordinating loan disbursements. This role sits in the Real Estate team and reports to the Mortgage and Insurance area.

The position operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm at the Mortgage and Insurance building with a Pay Grade 10; the incumbent ensures closings are timely and compliant while delivering high-quality service

Qualifications

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Real Estate Department’s processing and closing pipelines by following up with Real Estate Processors, Underwriters, Loan Officers, Title Companies, and partners to ensure closings are timely and compliant.
• Review closing documents and processor work to ensure adherence to quality guidelines; collaborate with QA and leadership to update loan policies and procedures; consult with real estate attorneys on legal documentation matters.
• Ensure Closing Disclosures and Closing Documents comply with RESPA/TRID guidelines.
• Review funding documents to guarantee formal loan closings; book loans in the Credit Union systems and update loan statuses in LOS.
• Coordinate and back-up setup of new loan files and ordering services for underwriting (title, insurance, employment verification, appraisal, flood check, credit line updates, survey, veterans, payoff, POA review).
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and governmental regulations and Credit Union policies; follow Federal Rules and Regulations per NCUA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
