Job summary

McMichael & Gray, PC is seeking a highly organized Precloser in Gulf Shores, AL. The role focuses on professional client communication, precision, and teamwork to manage real estate closings from contract receipt through final escrow.

Two+ years of Preclosing experience with a title company or law firm is preferred. The position emphasizes excellent verbal and written communication, attention to deadlines, and thorough coordination with agents, lenders, buyers and sellers to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years of Preclosing experience with a title company or law firm preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; communicate professionally with clients by phone and email.
• Must be extremely organized, professional, team-oriented, customer service focused, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with agents, lenders, buyers and sellers throughout the closing process from contract receipt through closing.
• Coordinate with parties and vendors to close by contract dates and lender due dates.
• Receive contracts and direct files opened with the client team.
• Order title examinations and municipal lien searches (if applicable).
• Verify contact information of all parties in Firm software.
• Complete assigned Firm tasks to prepare the file for closing accurately.
• Request documents related to contract, title, and financing from buyers, sellers, and agents.
• Verify accuracy of specifications on documents received for closing.
• Collaborate with Attorneys on title clearance prior to closing.
• Order payoffs and estoppel letters with dates extending past settlement.
• Ensure accuracy of title commitments and submit to lenders.
• Coordinate closing appointments with all parties.
• Generate Firm documents for buyers and sellers to complete closing files.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.
