Job summary

The Viera Company, a master developer of Viera, Florida, seeks a Real Estate CFO to guide financial strategy across development finance, FP&A, and capital allocation. This is a senior role partnering with the COO & President to scale financial systems and ensure margin discipline during growth.

With a focus on land development, homebuilding economics, and master‑planned communities, the CFO will drive planning, forecasting, and governance while aligning with Corporate Finance and enterprise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • MBA and/or CPA license strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive senior financial leadership within homebuilding, land development, and land acquisition.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in a complex, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary financial partner to the COO & President, Real Estate Group and leadership team.
  • Drive financial strategy and oversight by translating development, absorption, pricing, and cost dynamics into disciplined financial insight.
  • Lead divisional planning and forecasting by implementing corporate FP&A tools and ensuring alignment with planning processes and timelines.
  • Develop robust financial and phasing models guiding cash-flow planning, pacing, and scenario analysis.
  • Lead capital allocation by underwriting land acquisitions and development phases with return thresholds and risk parameters.
  • Oversee the deployment of bond proceeds with covenants and long-term capital improvement objectives.
  • Evaluate and redesign financial systems and reporting processes to improve visibility and scalability.
  • Lead implementation of ERP and profitability reporting to strengthen forecasting and cash-flow management.

Job description

The Viera Company, a subsidiary of A. With a vertically integrated real estate operation, the company oversees commercial and residential development, ensuring the long‑term vision, quality, and sustainability of the community.

The Real Estate CFO is the senior financial leader and strategic partner to the COO & President, The Viera Company - Real Estate Group guiding financial strategy across development finance, homebuilding finance, FP&A, capital allocation, and governance for Duda’s master‑planned communities and real estate operations. This role ensures financial systems and processes scale effectively during a period of significant growth while maintaining margin discipline and capital efficiency. It also serves as the key link to Corporate Finance, driving alignment, transparency, and consistent enterprise‑wide financial standards.

  • Serve as the primary financial partner to the COO & President, The Viera Company - Real Estate Group and leadership team.
  • Drive financial strategy and oversight by translating development, absorption, pricing, and cost dynamics into disciplined financial insight that supports growth and capital decision‑making.
  • Lead divisional planning and forecasting by implementing corporate FP&A tools and ensuring full alignment with enterprise planning processes and timelines.
  • Develop robust financial and phasing models that guide cash‑flow planning, community pacing, and scenario analysis for key operational teams.
  • Lead disciplined capital allocation by underwriting land acquisitions and development phases, aligning investment evaluations with enterprise return thresholds, risk parameters, and Corporate Finance priorities.
  • Oversee the strategic and compliant deployment of Viera Stewardship District bond proceeds, ensuring adherence to covenants, statutory requirements, and long‑term capital improvement objectives.
  • Evaluate and redesign financial systems and reporting processes by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and scalability constraints to improve visibility and support future growth.
  • Lead the implementation of modern financial and operational tools—such as ERP, planning systems, and profitability reporting—to strengthen forecasting, cash‑flow management, and enterprise data transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA license strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive senior financial leadership within homebuilding, land development, and land acquisition. Experience with master‑planned communities (MPC) is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial leadership experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Robust understanding of land acquisition, entitlement risk, development phasing, and homebuilding economics, paired with strong business judgment and real estate operating fluency.
