Job summary

Wiggin and Dana LLP in New York is seeking a senior real estate attorney to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial leases and related transactions for retail, office, and mixed-use properties.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience representing diverse clients, excellent academics, strong written and oral communication skills, and bar admission in the applicable location; the firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters, with a focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate.
• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and broader experience in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties.
• Experience representing franchisees, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers, as well as experience in the acquisition of assets and general corporate tasks is highly preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bar admission to the applicable office location.

Base compensation for this position will vary by office location, relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors. The target base pay range for this role is $185,000 - $275,000. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
