Job summary

Wiggin and Dana LLP seeks an experienced real estate attorney to draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, with a focus on retail, office, mixed-use, and other leasing transactions.

This role requires 5–10 years of sophisticated real estate experience, excellent academic credentials, and strong written and oral communication skills; bar admission is required. Base pay ranges from $185,000 to $275,000, with annual bonuses and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters.
• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and broader experience in acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties.
• Experience representing franchisees; reviewing/negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers; asset acquisitions and corporate tasks preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bar admission to the applicable office location.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, with a focus on retail, office, mixed-use, and other commercial leasing transactions.
• Advise clients on leasing matters involving retail locations, franchise operations, shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and other commercial properties.
• Work on other commercial real estate transactions as needed.
