Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 3–6 years of transactional real estate experience.
• Experience managing full lifecycle of real estate transactions, preferably in LA or SoCal.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented with client engagement.
• Collegial, mentorship-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and leasing.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, CC&Rs, easements.
• Manage due diligence including title, survey, zoning, environmental.
• Coordinate closings and deal processes with clients, counsel, brokers, lenders.
• Advise clients on risk assessment and deal structuring.
• Collaborate with partners on complex matters with ownership from start.

The opportunity

The firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its transactional real estate team — a strong fit for a mid-level attorney who wants substantive, varied work in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. You would work directly with partners who have long-standing roots in the Los Angeles market and a reputation for pragmatic, deal-focused counsel.

What you'll do

• Represent clients across acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and commercial leasing
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, development agreements, CC&Rs, easements, and related contracts
• Manage due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments
• Coordinate closings and run deal processes with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, lenders, and other stakeholders
• Advise clients on risk assessment and deal structuring, balancing legal requirements against business objectives
• Partner with the firm's attorneys on complex matters, with real ownership from the start

What you'll bring

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
• 3–6 years of transactional real estate experience at a reputable firm
• Demonstrated experience managing the full life cycle of real estate transactions, ideally in Los Angeles or the broader Southern California market
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the attention to detail and prioritization the work demands
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach — you engage directly with clients and anticipate issues before they surface

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $145,000 +, commensurate with experience
