HonorVet Technologies is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join our Real Estate team in either the Chicago or New York office. This role offers meaningful responsibility, professional development, and exposure to sophisticated real estate finance transactions.

We provide a hybrid work policy with three days in the office and two days remote weekly, a competitive total rewards package, and opportunities to collaborate with shareholders and clients on diverse financing matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of real estate finance experience at a law firm.
• Experience representing lenders and investors in sophisticated real estate finance transactions.
• Experience handling permanent, construction, and mezzanine loan transactions.
• Experience negotiating and reviewing commercial leases, including office, retail, warehouse, and industrial leases.
• Strong knowledge of real estate finance, commercial real estate transactions, loan documentation, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial leasing.

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join the Real Estate team in either the Chicago or New York office. The team handles a diverse and multidisciplinary real estate practice, providing associates with the opportunity to work closely with shareholders, participate in business development initiatives, and engage directly with clients. The position offers meaningful responsibility, professional development, and exposure to sophisticated real estate finance transactions.

Required Skills

• You have 3–5 years of real estate finance experience at a law firm.
• You have experience representing lenders and investors in sophisticated real estate finance transactions.
• You have experience handling permanent, construction, and mezzanine loan transactions.
• Experience with transactions involving commercial, healthcare, automotive, office, multifamily, retail, and industrial properties is highly desirable.
• You have experience closing real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• You have experience negotiating and reviewing commercial leases, including office, retail, warehouse, and industrial leases.
• You possess strong knowledge of real estate finance, commercial real estate transactions, loan documentation, acquisitions, dispositions, and commercial leasing.
• You are able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment.
• You have strong analytical, legal research, drafting, negotiation, communication, and client-management skills.
• You possess a J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.
• You are admitted and in good standing, or taking steps to become admitted, in Illinois or New York.
