Newport Williams, a long-established San Diego real estate boutique, seeks a commercial real estate associate to join its in-office team. You’ll work with partners on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and land use matters, building a long-term practice in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of transactional CRE experience, CA Bar membership (active or pending), and a drive to grow with one firm. Compensation includes discretionary bonuses and benefits.

Our client is a long-established, top-ranked San Diego real estate boutique. For five decades it has represented developers, investors, and lenders across California. The firm holds Tier 1 regional rankings in both Real Estate and Land Use & Zoning, and was recently recognized nationally for its client service. It is looking to add a commercial real estate associate who wants to put down roots in San Diego and build a long-term practice.

What you’ll work on

The firm’s practice helps clients buy, sell, lease, and finance commercial property, and structure the entities behind those deals. You’ll work directly with partners on:

• Acquisitions and dispositions of industrial, multifamily, retail, and office properties
• Lender-side real estate financing, a growing area with a clear path to build your own expertise
• Land use, zoning, and entitlement matters
• Purchase and sale agreement drafting and negotiation
• Title and survey due diligence
• LLC, partnership, and joint venture formation for real estate ventures

What we’re looking for

• JD with 2–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
• Active California Bar membership, or recently sat for the California Bar with results pending
• Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and running due diligence
• Interest in real estate finance (prior exposure is a plus)
• Land use, entitlement, or home builder compliance experience is a plus
• A steady, collegial, client-focused professional who wants to grow with one firm long-term
• Based in, or committed to relocating to, San Diego. This is an in-office role.

Compensation:
