Real Estate Finance Associate

Base Pay Range

$240,000.00/yr - $375,000.00/yr

A leading global law firm with a nationally recognized commercial real estate finance practice is looking for a Real Estate Finance Associate to join its New York office. The firm represents a diverse roster of lenders, borrowers, private equity investors, insurance companies, REITs, and developers in sophisticated real estate finance transactions. The practice offers the chance to lead deals, work on high-value transactions, and collaborate with a skilled, client‑focused team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Represent lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions, including senior mortgage loans, construction loans, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, and co‑lender arrangements
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary financing documents
• Manage transaction closings from start to finish, coordinating with internal teams, clients, and third‑party counsel
• Provide strategic advice to clients on complex financing structures, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance

What They’re Looking For

• 4–8 years of commercial real estate finance experience, ideally with exposure to both lender and borrower representation
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to first‑chair transactions and manage deals independently with support from senior team members
• Highly motivated, collaborative, and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple high‑value transactions simultaneously
• Admission to the New York Bar in good standing
