Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Real Estate Representative in Asset Management to manage the company’s real estate portfolio supporting critical infrastructure projects. The role involves researching property ownership, negotiating with landowners, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The position emphasizes analytical work, legal documentation, and effective communication with engineers, project managers, and authorities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience acquiring, managing, and transferring land rights.
• Experience with property descriptions, appraisals, title research, and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to read maps and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of appraisal, engineering, law, and negotiations principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages and coordinates real estate activities with project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with planning, engineering, legal, and government relations to ensure project success.
• Performs research of public records, title documents, and internal company data.
• Interprets legal descriptions and ensures accuracy in documents.
• Negotiates with landowners and other stakeholders to acquire or dispose of rights.
• Serves as primary point of contact for real estate matters with internal/external parties.
• Performs field inspections and site assessments; evaluates property conditions.
