Job summary

Puget Sound Energy's Claims and Real Estate team is seeking a Real Estate Representative - Asset Management to support infrastructure projects across the service area. You will manage real estate activities, negotiate with landowners, prepare legal documents, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

The role demands an associate degree with 3 years of land rights experience, strong map/title research skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration or related field (or equivalent).
• Three (3) years of experience acquiring, managing, and transferring land rights.
• Experience with property legal descriptions, appraisals, title research, and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Ability to read and understand maps and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of appraisal, engineering, law, and negotiations principles and terms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages and coordinates real estate activities with internal teams and service providers for project execution.
• Partners with planning, engineering, project management, land planning and legal teams to ensure project success.
• Performs research of public records, company databases, and title documents.
• Reads and interprets real property legal descriptions and ensures accuracy in documents.
• Makes recommendations regarding easement impacts and design revisions.
• Prepares, reviews, and interprets legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
• Negotiates with landowners, attorneys, developers, and stakeholders to acquire or dispose of operating rights.
• Serves as primary contact for real estate matters with customers, agencies and community organizations.
• Performs field inspections and coordinates vendor activities; evaluates vendor performance.
• Maintains documentation for all real estate transactions and agreements.
