Job summary

AVR Realty Company is seeking a Real Estate Associate to own day-to-day asset management across a diversified portfolio including multifamily, hotel, and retail assets based in Yonkers, NY. You will drive financial and operational performance, lead monthly reporting, and coordinate capital initiatives from concept through execution.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS, 2–4 years in real estate finance or asset management, advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, and proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Strong interest in real estate and 2–4 years of real estate finance, asset management, or related experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; this will be tested in the interview process.
• Working knowledge of real estate debt and capital markets, including loan documents and refinancing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review of monthly financial reporting packages across assets and approve data submitted to lenders.
• Manage annual business planning and budgeting for assets across the portfolio.
• Oversee capital expenditure programs end to end: scope, design, timeline, and cost.
• Source, evaluate, and manage third‑party vendors and contractors for capital and renovation projects.
• Manage refinancing and financing initiatives across the portfolio, including lender presentations and terms.
• Lead asset management calls with operating partners covering revenue, renewals, and capital expenditures.
• Conduct periodic site visits and property inspections.
• Oversee insurance and risk policy reviews and claims handling.
• Identify and implement operational process improvements and new technology to streamline workflows.
