Job summary

Phillips Edison & Company, Inc. is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to coordinate and account for on- and off-boarding of acquired and disposed properties. You will perform complex analysis, review purchase price allocations, and support impairment evaluations within a high-visibility accounting team.

The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with MRI. CPA is preferred, and the position offers collaboration with operating departments nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA or working towards CPA preferred.
• Strong Excel and Word proficiency; MRI experience and AI tool familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and subsequent accounting for properties including accruals and reconciliations.
• Interpret and execute purchase and sale agreements with post-close proration calculations.
• Prepare common area maintenance and tax reconciliations for transacted properties.
• Review purchase price allocations for reasonableness and accuracy.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting and audit requests.
