Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal to lead the Real Estate Advisory Team within the Financial Advisory Services Group. The role focuses on originating and expanding client relationships, guiding complex engagements, and developing professionals to grow the practice across real estate life cycles.

The successful candidate will bring deep real estate expertise, strong commercial judgment and a collaborative leadership style to deliver practical, high-impact solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field.
• Typically 15 or more years of progressively responsible experience in real estate advisory, investment, development, asset management or related field including valuations for financial reporting purposes.
• Established record of originating work and expanding senior client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead executive on complex real estate advisory engagements with accountability for scope, strategy, quality and client outcomes.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with real estate developers, owners, operators, institutional investors, lenders and other market participants.
• Originate new opportunities and expand existing accounts through business development and market visibility.
• Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, refinancings, restructurings and portfolio-level decisions.
• Lead assignments involving transaction strategy, financial modeling, market studies and investment decision support.
