Job summary

Baker Tilly seeks a Principal to join and lead our Real Estate Advisory Team within the Financial Advisory Services Group.

The Principal will originate and expand client relationships, oversee complex advisory engagements, and develop professionals to grow the practice. This market-facing leader combines deep real estate expertise with strong commercial judgment and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, accounting or related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 15+ years in real estate advisory, investment, asset management or related field.
• Proven record of originating work and expanding senior client relationships.
• Deep knowledge of CRE investment fundamentals, capital structures, and markets.
• Strong financial analysis, modeling and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead executive on complex real estate advisory engagements with scope, strategy and risk management.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, owners, operators, investors, lenders and funds.
• Originate opportunities and expand accounts through business development and cross-selling.
• Advise on acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, restructurings and portfolio decisions.
• Lead transaction strategy, financial modeling, market studies and investment support.
• Oversee asset management and portfolio advisory engagements to drive value creation.
• Guide transformation projects involving reporting, dashboards and operating models.
• Communicate clear recommendations to senior management and boards.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across service lines and geographies.
• Mentor and develop team members; promote collaboration and client service excellence.
• Contribute to go-to-market planning, proposals, and industry events.
