Job summary

JLL is seeking an Accounting Manager for a growing non-traded REIT portfolio. You will own the monthly close, supervise 2–4 accounting professionals, and ensure high-quality financial reporting for institutional clients.

This role blends fund accounting with strategic client relationship management. You will interface with JLL property management teams, oversee CAM reconciliations, and help standardize processes across portfolios, driving client satisfaction and growth in real estate investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in real estate environments.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience with direct reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with real estate accounting systems (Yardi preferred).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and application to real estate contexts.
• Ability to interpret complex lease documents and translate into operational procedures.
• Experience managing monthly close cycles and consolidated reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete monthly close process, including consolidated financial statements and reporting packages for the client.
• Serve as primary client contact for monthly financial review calls and present results.
• Supervise and develop a team of 2–4 accounting professionals; provide guidance and training to ensure consistent execution.
• Coordinate quality reviews of CAM reconciliations and tenant billings for lease compliance.
• Collaborate with property management to coordinate services requiring PM support.
• Manage cash flow activities including monthly distribution proposals and fund movement documentation.
• Standardize processes across portfolios by sharing best practices with the accounting team.
