Job summary

GHJ Search and Staffing, the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm, partners with a well-established real estate investment and property management organization to identify an Accounting Manager who excels at leading people, improving processes, and building a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will supervise a team of accountants, oversee month-end close and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets, ensure timely payments, and help

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close.
CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of accountants and accounting support professionals.
Oversee monthly close and financial reporting for real estate portfolios.
Review statements, GL activity, reconciliations, and cash management.
Oversee debt service, taxes, and vendor payments.
Coordinate year-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasts.
Mentor team, improve processes, and partner with leadership.
