Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior accounting and finance leader to manage the accounting functions for multiple real estate clients in a shared services setup. You will act as Controller, lead finance teams, and drive process improvements across month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting.

The role requires CPA in process or active, extensive Real Estate tech experience (Yardi, MRI), and strong communication and leadership skills to coach diverse teams across client engagements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
• CPA (In-Process Or Required)
• Experience performing and reviewing property-level accounting and finance functions required
• Experience working with property managers to resolve accounting issues, address concerns, and explain variances required
• Expertise in Real Estate technology systems is required (i.e., Yardi, MRI, etc.)
• Progressive experience in accounting and financial management in real estate accounting environments
• Experience in real estate development projects and construction accounting processes and best practices
• Strong financial accounting knowledge (GAAP, NCREIF, FMV)

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and finance functions of multiple clients in a shared services environment.
• Serve as clients' Controller and provide oversight and strategic input.
• Lead, manage, and coach client services teams across levels.
• Review monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Identify opportunities to enhance monthly operations and suggest improvements.
• Direct assessments, implementations, and onboarding of new FaaS clients.
• Write service agreements and statements of work.
• Oversee billings and collections of client invoices.
