Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to support cash and basic accrual accounting, general ledger work, and financial reporting. This role provides exposure to client accounting with guided supervision and growth toward more advanced accounting duties within the property management sector.

Ideal candidates have a college degree in accounting or finance, with familiarity in MS Office and accounting software. Remote/in-office options vary by client and region.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• College degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Prior experience with accounting or database software; basic CRE knowledge is a plus; proficient in MS Office; strong 10 key skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full cycle accounting to cash basis and basic accrual for properties.
• Prepare basic financial reporting packages in line with internal controls.
• Assist with AR/AP, journal entries, and ad-hoc reconciliations as directed.
• Apply Client Accounting policies and understand duties between Property Management and Client Accounting.
• Communicate accounting issues to management and clients timely.
• Support month-end checklist and shadow senior accountants as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
