Qualifications

• 1-3 years of real estate accounting experience, preferably at the residential property level.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Clear communicator with the ability to interact with senior leaders.
• Strong organization, judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards, Yardi, RealPage, or other property management/accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review third-party financial reporting packages for completeness.
• Perform analytical review of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Evaluate monthly accruals for reasonableness.
• Ensure debt service payments, real estate taxes, and insurance are paid promptly.
• Compile quarterly and annual reporting packages for fund accounting.
• Collaborate with external tax teams and auditors.
• Submit required quarterly financial packages to lenders.
• Convert third-party trial balances to the internal chart of accounts and upload to JD Edwards.
• Map and import budgets from third-party managers.
