Job summary

Blue Owl seeks an Associate / Analyst for the Real Assets Net Lease Investment Team in Chicago. You will analyze investment opportunities, perform due diligence, and support deal execution from initial theses through closing.

The role focuses on tenant credit underwriting and financial modeling, with collaboration across the investment process. 1–4 years in investment banking, private equity, or private credit is preferred, and AI tools may be leveraged to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or private credit.
• Strong accounting and corporate finance knowledge with financial modeling aptitude.
• Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate and form independent judgments.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with attention to detail.
• Interest in investing and enthusiasm for learning.
• Ability to leverage AI as a tool to drive efficiency.
• Team player with curiosity and collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze potential investment opportunities and develop investment theses.
• Complete due diligence including data room review, industry research and financial modeling.
• Prepare memos for internal discussions and investment committee approval.
• Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with investment committee.
• Contribute to transaction closing and legal documentation.
• Perform ongoing due diligence and monitoring of portfolio companies.
